Strike Three... Your In!

Many people will remember the Writer's Strike from a couple years back, the 1994 MLB Strike, and the Great Railroad Strike of 1877. Well, maybe not the last one. But recently in London, England, the strike on the Lindsey Oil Refinery has reached an end. An agreement was reached by the members of the strike and the arbitrator, (settler of the dispute) otherwise known as the "manager of the refinery." This hold-out began after 101 job openings for a new project were filled by foreign workers, which produced mixed feelings between the industry and the employees. Although the project would only be for nine weeks, workers walked out on January 28th, 2009, frustrated about the decision made by their bosses. I believe this was wrong because if a company already has enough employees to do the job, why not use them? This whole situation makes absolutely no sense to me. and try to understand... please.
